The Cream That Works for Mimi Xu

The Cream That Works for Mimi Xu

24 September 2018

Over a 27 day period we filmed seven remarkable people and their skin in detail using a range of cutting-edge film, photography and skin-scanning techniques. DJ and Producer Mimi Xu was one of the individuals who took part in this study to capture the effects of our revolutionary cream.

A part of a new wave in the music and creative industry, Mimi is one of the highly sought-after music directors in fashion. She is head of a dynamic studio team with work from original compositions, sound designs to music supervision for films and fashion shows such as Prada, Bally, Selfridges, Temperley, Aalto, Zimmermann.

Outside of commissioned projects, Mimi creates performance art pieces using mix media as its language. Her original music compositions are the starting point from which she builds a visual scenography in collaboration with other artists. Each series changes in nature and sometimes results in an installation, a dancer performance, a concert or a recorded album.

Her distinguished style and kaleidoscopic creativity put her at the forefront of fashions, music, and the artistic new experiential world. Mimi even lends her creative talents to this project, composing music tracks for the campaign.

“The Rich Cream moisturises my skin for a much longer time than a normal cream, and it gives a really comfortable feel… it kind of melts into your skin really easily. It gives a nice little glow. I’m kind of obsessed right now.”

Through the Visia Complexion Analysis System, we captured multiple images of the face, examining the complexion for fine lines and wrinkles, spots, pores, texture, bacteria, UV damage, pigmentation and redness. Visia also compares the skin to others of the same age and ethnicity.
